AltaWind Energy Corporation is a wind energy development company committed to the implementation of environmentally responsible, economical, renewable energy solutions in North America, through the development of utility scale wind energy projects.

We are strategically acquiring a diverse portfolio of energy producing wind assets in multiple locations throughout the Midwest and Rocky Mountain regions. AltaWind Energy is in the early development stage of projects in Kansas, Colorado, New Mexico, Montana and Pennsylvania.

AltaWind believes that the continual pursuit of conservation and cost-efficient renewable resources is beneficial for our nation. We are dedicated to building a sustainable business that provides clean, reliable and affordable electricity to communities today and for our future generations.

We intend to leverage our portfolio of existing projects and continue to pursue new developments where proper conditions exist for success. Our six projects currently under development represent over 1000MW of wind capacity if developed to their full potential. AltaWind’s approach is to develop or joint venture sites with a majority of the following key attributes:

• Superior wind resource
• Adjacent to existing or planned large scale transmission infrastructure
• Ability to access more than one power market
• Power generation friendly state and local zoning requirements
• Receptive community and landowners
• Favorable economic development incentives

We have researched areas across the Midwest, where over 80% of the wind resource potential in the United States resides, and have selected the areas that could produce the greatest wind energy, and make the most sense economically.
